About me.

In 2014, I purchased an Olympus OM-D E-M10. It was my first ‘real’ digital camera. I was excited, but I essentially had no idea what I was doing. In an effort to learn the ins and outs of my new camera and to improve my photography, I vowed to shoot (and share) at least one photo each day for an entire year. I joined Instagram and got started.

After 365 days of shooting, sharing, and learning, I found myself more and more interested in the details. I bought a macro lens and have been hooked ever since. I soon shifted my attention toward the beauty, design, and intricacy of arthropods which often go unnoticed. As I got deeper into the world of macro, I upgraded to an OM-D E-M1 Mark II, and eventually moved to the OM SYSTEM OM-1.

Even before I started producing macro images, I was drawn to the natural world and involved in the visual arts. As a kid growing up at the Jersey Shore, I spent plenty of time exploring outdoors and searching for small critters. When I was inside the house, I logged countless hours drawing in sketchbooks. I eventually earned my degree in graphic design from Moravian College and immediately began a career as a designer.

After four years creating websites for a publishing company, I joined the Olympus America creative team and have been with Olympus for over sixteen years. I currently serve as Director of Creative Services and oversee all phases of Olympus’ graphic design, photography, and video production. I reside in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where the majority of my macro photos are made.

OM SYSTEM

From Graphic Designer to Brand Ambassador

My relationship with Olympus products began in 2007 when I was hired by Olympus as a graphic designer. I was excited to support the company's various business areas and product lines. As time went on, my interest in (and passion for) photography grew. In 2020, Olympus Corporation announced plans to divest the camera business and increase attention on its medical division. My Creative Director role remained within Olympus. As a result of the divestiture, the old Olympus camera division became OM Digital Solutions. In early 2022, I was invited to partner with OM Digital Solutions as an OM SYSTEM Ambassador. I was am beyond thrilled! It’s a true honor to represent the brand and to be included in this program full of amazingly talented photographers.
